Carnage

Ok so here are my excuses...

On Saturday night I had company and wanted to watch a movie. Afterwards I didn't feel much like typing so I decided to put it off until last night. ...Last night rolls around and I go to write on my blog and the dumb thing says it's unavailable for me to write a new post! Ughhh... so now it's catch up time.

Saturday:
I got up and did some chores (can you believe that none of my company wanted to do 6:30am chores? haha! Then, I helped Ross load up some salt and mineral and I had planned to go with him but both him and Merle said I should go home and visit with my company- so I did. After some breakfast we decided to go to town and take a tour. In addition, I needed a few things. I made some errand to the post office and grocery store and then we spent quite a bit of time just driving around. One of the highlights was that Pat found a street named after her family- Portice St. She had an uncle (I think) that used to live in Martin and owned a coop and a motel that were on that street. It's a small world! I showed them the church I go to and the church I got kicked out of last summer and a few other random places. We stopped in the local quilt shop and really found some good stuff there so it was a fun trip to Martin...can you belive it?

Then, we headed home, ate some dinner and watched a movie. All the while Pat baked me cookies. Yes cookies! I was/am super excited about them. There are a bunch in the freezer, some in the cupboard, and one in my mouth! I will have desert and snacks in my lunch box that should last me quite a bit into haying season! Thanks to her! :D We popped in a move but didn't get too far before Merle knocked on the door- it was prarie dog hunting time. Since Adrienne was gone for her baby shower (That I was going to go to) Merle decided we should do a littel p-dog hunting- and so we did. I felt bad dropping off Adrienne's gift and going hunting but she didn't seem to care a bit. For some reason (sarcasm) I don't think a baby shower is her thing! While she was getting clean (as Merle puts it) we (Mom, Pat, and I were killin dogs left and right. Ross brought out his gun so we ended up with three guns and two spectators (Grandma and Merle). We shot about 300 rounds if I remember right...so just a few. We hit a couple pastures and managed to be out there for about 4 hours. O what fun! I mean how can you go wrong with prairie dog hunting!

After returning from our great quest I did chores and then we made some buffalo steaks for supper (yum!) and Pat and I watched a movie while Mom and Grandma were looking at the stars. Then, tried another movie but I fell asleep.

All in all it was a good day and was lots of fun! I enjoy company out here because it does get pretty quiet sometimes. Plus, they cook for me! Haha, how twisted is that- I am the host and they bring and cook most of the food! O well, they still love me!
